Introduction

This article covers how to install the VisionPack bundle into the standard system location.  This makes it easier to launch applications without needing to configure the environment.

Yocto

For those using Yocto to build their Linux distribution should instead refer to the article VisionPack for Yocto.

Requirements

You should first confirm you can install the VisionPack bundle with the default instructions in VisionPack QuickStart Guide.

Setup

The VisionPack bundle installer allows you to install into user-specified locations.  Using the --target parameter as follows will install the libraries into /usr/lib and binaries into /usr/bin and so on.

sh visionpack-latest-armv8.sh --target /usr

Note: this will also install the QuickStart Guides into /usr.
