Introduction
This document is made to provide the instructions on how to setup and use the Maivin AI Vision Starter Kit Version 01671000 with the Econ Systems AR0521 Image sensor module.
Safety and Handling:
- Warning/Caution
- Read the guide carefully and keep the document for future references.
- Follow all instructions provided and handle the Maivin camera with care.
- Electrostatic Discharge
- While handling camera and its components, please be mindful of the environment and the possibility of electrostatic buildup.
- All testing and work must be done in a static control area to prevent ESD damage to devices or components.
- Make sure that when changing power supplies or changing power supply voltage to disconnect the camera from power before making the changes. Ensure that the operational voltage supplied is within the operating voltage range of 10 to 26 volts.
- Handling
- The camera and components are very delicate, and as such, exercise restraint and precision while handling and working with the camera. The connectors between the devices are to be handled with care.
- When handling the Image sensor and lens, DO NOT touch the sensor, and ensure the lens is clean and free from debris. Failure to do so could result in distorted or blurry images.
Caution: The Heatsink can get hot during operation.
The i.MX8MP processor can get hot during operation. Do not touch the processor or heatsink while operating.
The Maivin Camera platform requires a Toradex Verdin iMX8M Plus module. The quick start guide for the module can be found at: https://developer.toradex.com/getting-started.
